Sprinter Test Shot Images

Hi All,
 
We've received preliminary photos of the Sprinter tooling from the Factory.

While the images aren't the best, they do show how the model is progressing.

The tooling is currently about 70% complete.

The gear sets and underframe are still being cut into the metal dies.

Non-Operational Test Shots are expected by the end of the month just in time for the Hobsons Bay Exhibition.

At this stage we still expect these cars to arrive by the end of the year.

On Track Models Announces the Victorian Sprinter Railcar

Hi All,

On Track Models is pleased to announce our next Victorian model will be the Sprinter Railcar.

22 Sprinter Railcars were introduced into traffic between December 1993 and June 1995.

Cars 7001 - 7017 were introduced in the PTC Teal & Sunflower colour scheme, while cars 7018 - 7022 were released in the V/Line Red & Blue scheme.

Eventually all of the 22 cars were repainted to the V/Line Red & Blue scheme.

Sprinter 7019 was written off after an unfortunate incident in 1996.

In 2007 Sprinter 7007 was repainted into a trial V/Line Passenger scheme of Red, Grey, & Purple.

Minor changes to this scheme were introduced and the entire remaining fleet plus 7007 have been out shopped in this smart new livery.

Tooling has commenced on these models and the first samples are due late March / early April.

Features of these cars include all wheel pick-up / all wheel drive, detailed interior and drivers cabs, operational head, ditch, & marker lights. The cars will be internally lite with the destination board also illuminated.

The model will be sound ready with a 21 DCC plug supplied.

Expected delivery date for this exceptional model is towards the end of 2015.

Theses models will be marketed as a twin pack with both units powered.

Due the fluctuating Australian Dollar no price has been set as yet however order forms will be available around June.

All 4 colour schemes will be available with only a limited number packs produced.
